During the life of an award, changes take place that requirement action. OSP is available to assist when changes to the award are needed.
- Budget modification requiring sponsor approval
- No cost extension requiring sponsor approval
- Additionally, prior-approvals are generally required by the award sponsor when there is:
- A change in the scope of work
- A change in PI
- A reduction in effort > 25% or more
- An absence of key personnel from campus for period of 90 days or more
- A request for ordinarily unallowable as direct costs
- Equipment acquisition
- Extra service requests
- New Subaward
- Carry forward request
- Foreign travel
